Become a JAZZONIAN Trailblazer
In the service of Jazz!

As a JAZZONIAN Museum Trailblazer volunteer, you will be front and center as part of the Jazzonian cultural arts movement to benefit the community; helping to make South Florida a World class destination for live Jazz!

JAZZONIAN Museum Trailblazers play a vital role that will enable you to practice your talents and enhance your creativity, enrich your appreciation for the art of Jazz, meet many great Jazz artists and others in the community; be in the forefront of helping to empower Jazz in South Florida; witness new and emerging young talented Jazz artists; and help bring awareness about the joy of Jazz to many people in the community.

Our Values:
We hold Jazzonian in sacred trust to ourselves and the people we serve in the community--honesty, integrity, humility, transparency, teamwork, respect for each individual--our values are founded in the principal that everything we do starts with people and ends with people. As so, we are in the service of Jazz to inspire, educate, and bring people together.

Production Trailblazer Team
Assist in coordinating special general events activities (workshops, lectures, panel discussions, performances, venue setup, audio/visual, presenters, exhibitors, food/beverage consession, etc.).

Host / Welcome Trailblazer Team
Aassist in helping to provide direction and assistance to visitors. Volunteers will also be in charge of providing assistance to people with disabilities.

Sponsorship Trailblazer Team
Team of volunteers to assist in presenting proposals to potential sponsors as well as helping to coordinate fundraising activities, and securing in-kind donations of products/services.

Public Relations Trailblazer Team
Assist in coordinating media and public relations activities including community outreach and social network campaign.

JAZZY! Mentors
Musicians volunteer their time to mentor Kids throughout the South Florida community presenting one-on-one lessons, workshops and seminars about various subjects relating to Jazz.

Excellence in Jazz Education
Jazzonian is very pleased to announce its 2011 Excellence in Jazz Education Award. This year's recipient is Mr. Christopher Dorsey, Band Director of the Jazz Orchestra at Dillard Center for the Arts.

A New Creative Way to Experience Jazz!
Jazzonian is pleased to announce its new innovative education program called TOUCH JAZZ.

JAZZONIAN Traveling Exhibit
As part of our commitment to inspire, educate, and bring people together, JAZZONIAN is available as a traveling exhibit to local community schools, institutions and organizations seeking to create more awareness of Jazz while celebrating the rich history of this unique American art form. About Latin Jazz
Jazzonian proudly presents Latin Jazz Player: a virtual educational cultural arts initiative produced by Bobby Ramirez that is part of the Jazzonian online multimedia experience honoring the great musicians that made significant contributions in helping to shape the sound of this classic American music artform. Latin Jazz Player also serves as a quick one-stop educational guide for music students, as well as helping music teachers articulate and present Latin Jazz as part of a school music curriculum.
