Programs

In accordance with our vision to inspire, educate, and bring people together, JAZZONIAN cultural arts community outreach programs touch every part of South Florida--Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Boca Raton, West Palm Beach, Delray Beach, Key West, Jupiter, Miami Beach, Homestead, Kendall, Wellington, Deerfield, Boynton Beach, and others.

JAZZONIAN Kids Club @ My School Inspires Family Values
Kids are inspired to learn about Jazz as part of various interactive fun activities—including: team-building, music games, drum & rhythm circle, music appreciation, drawing, dancing, singing, creative writing, poems, puppet show, theater, storytelling, listening parties, film festival, play an instrument, and more!

JAZZONIAN Youth Scholarship
The JAZZONIAN Youth Scholarship was established to provide financial assistance to promising young high school and college level Jazz musicians, empower the next generation of Jazz musicians, and nurture young fans of this artform.

JAZZONIAN Youth Honors Band
Jazzonian is extremely pleased to present the Jazzonian Yough Honors Band featuring the most outstanding young Jazz musicians in South Florida performing.

South Florida Jazz Summit

The South Florida Jazz Summit is a fundraising event produced annually by the Jazz Museum of Florida, Inc (dba Jazzonian), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. All proceeds from this event go to community outreach jazz education programs under the aegis of the Jazz Museum of Florida, Inc.

Jazzonian Historical Preservation Archive
The Jazzonian museum initiative relating to the collection and preservation of historical memorabilia and artifacts, vintage LP recordings, literature, photographs, art, and film as it relates to the history of Jazz in Florida as well as Jazz in general.

The Magical World of Jazz!
As part of our commitment to inspire, educate, and bring people together, Jazzonian museum is pleased to present its educational historical cultural arts multimedia exhibit entitled "The Magical World of Jazz!" at schools and special events as part of its community out-reach initiative. It can also be combined with a Jazz concert performance, film showcase, historical lectures, Jazz audio Jam session and/or interactive Jazz workshops for children and adults.

Jazzonian Legacy Awards
Jazzonian is pleased to recognice area individuals for their outstanding leadership and service to Jazz. in the area of Lifetime Achievement, Jazz Benefactor; and Jazz Trailblazer Volunteer.

Artist-in-Residence Program
The Jazzonian artist-in-residence volunteer program includes area professional Jazz musicians that participate as part of Jazz workshops for kids and adults, as well as mentoring young Jazz musicians. Active commitment is for one year. Participating musicians support the mission of Jazzonian as well as participate as part Jazzonian events and activities.

JAZZONIAN Heritage Band
South Florida based Jazzonian Heritage Band is composed of professional area musicians featuring a classic Jazz repertoire highlighting the Golden Age of Jazz; featuring Swing, Bebop, Blues, and beyond. Proceeds from performances benefit Jazzonian, a non-profit 501(c)(3) public charity organization.

South Florida Jazz Oral History
A video and audio documentary series featuring interviews from musicians and others, presenting stories and reflections about the South Florida Jazz scene.

Jazzonian Education Ambassadors
Volunteers that participate as part of Jazzonian educational research initiatives and outreach programs.
